Dr. Gaffar obtained his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Saba University School of Medicine, where his early commitment to medical excellence began. He then advanced to complete his residency at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where his leadership skills earned him the distinction of serving as Chief Resident. These formative years shaped both his technical proficiency and his interpersonal skills, both of which are central to his clinical approach. His passion for advancing cancer care led him to pursue a fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at the USF-Moffitt Cancer Center, known for its research-driven culture. During his fellowship, Dr. Gaffar conducted focused research in Genitourinary (GU) and Senior Adult Oncology. These experiences provided him with specialized insights that continue to influence his practice today. As a board-certified physician in both hematology and oncology, he remains committed to maintaining his certifications through ongoing education and training to ensure excellence in care delivery.
